Are you in need of hope today?  Not a superficial or temporary hope, but the real thing?

Hope has a Name. His Name is Jesus.

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”  Romans 15:13

I am sure many would agree that we are living in a time where hope is being challenged on every side. There are days when joy feels strong and days when it feels far away. There are moments when faith rises easily, and moments when believing takes everything you have. As I write, lyrics to a popular song come to mind.

"There's times when my hands go up freely

And times that it costs,...

There's days when a praise comes out easy

Days when it takes all the strength I got..."

Yet in the middle of it all, one truth remains unshaken.

We don’t just have hope, we have a Hope with a Name. And His Name is Jesus.

This Hope that we have is not wishful thinking. It is not optimism rooted in circumstances. It is not pretending everything is fine. This Hope is confident expectation anchored in the unchanging character of God. Hope stands when answers are delayed, breathes when the weight feels heavy and holds on because God is faithful.

Romans 15:13 reminds us that God Himself is the source of our hope. Not people. Not outcomes. Not platforms. Not positions. Not perfect seasons. He is the God of hope. He fills us with joy and peace as we trust Him, and then causes us to overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Hope cannot be manufactured, it is produced by the Holy Spirit.

Hope is not something we force.  Hope is something we receive.

And here is the truth we must never forget:

Our hope is a Person.  Our hope is Jesus.

Maybe you’re reading this and you need hope. Not a quick fix. But real, steady, soul-anchored hope.

Whenever the Holy Spirit places something on my heart, I am obedient to share, because someone may need to hear this. This may be your reminder. Allow me to encourage you, “Don’t give up. Don’t let go. Don’t lose heart.”

You may be smiling on the outside while quietly carrying a heavy heart, staying strong for everyone else and wondering how much longer you can hold on.

Hear me by the Spirit, this word found you on purpose. Hope is reaching for you right now. And His Name is Jesus.

When everything feels unstable, Jesus remains steady.  When your strength feels low, Jesus remains strong.  When your heart feels tired, Jesus remains present.

Your hope lives because Jesus lives.

The tomb is still empty, the stone is still rolled away, and resurrection is still speaking life.

Some of you have been waiting longer than you expected. You’ve prayed, trusted, and believed. And there are moments when weariness tries to speak louder than faith. Do not let go of hope now.

Hope doesn’t mean you pretend it doesn’t hurt, it means you trust God while it hurts.  It doesn’t mean you deny the facts, it means you believe God’s truth above the facts.

Let the Holy Spirit refill every place where hope has leaked out. Let Him restore joy where disappointment tried to settle. Let Him remind your heart again who He is, and who you are in Him.

You are not without hope.  You are held by the God of hope.

Father, in the Name of Jesus, I thank You that You are the God of hope. For every reader feeling weary, discouraged, uncertain, or overwhelmed, I ask that You would fill them again with joy and peace as they trust in You. Let hope rise where it has been delayed. Let strength rise where weakness tried to linger. And by the power of the Holy Spirit, cause them to overflow with supernatural hope today. We declare that our hope has a Name, and His Name is Jesus. Amen.

A Word for Right Now

“Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, continue steadfastly in prayer” Romans 12:12

As you continue to walk this journey of faith, hold fast to this promise. Hope anchored in Jesus will always carry you through.

If you do not know Jesus, or if you feel far from Him, this is your moment. Jesus taught that to enter the Kingdom of God, we must be born again, made new through faith in Him. If you’re unsure what that means, or you’ve never made that decision, I encourage you to connect with a mature believer who can walk with you into this life-changing step, into baptism, and into new life in Jesus Christ.

Get planted. Find a Bible-teaching, Holy Spirit-filled church family that will pray for you, love you, disciple you, and walk alongside you. Pursue Jesus with your whole heart and watch Him transform your life.
